    is showing the fixed assets on the balance sheet with its original cost ,less an estimated amount of depreciation is the best way

    i believe so since historical cost are more objective.

    it depends country to country, some stats a/cs keep provission for depreciation and it shows on liability side. and the F.A alonee at it it's cost on the asset side
