    Life is considered as part of the building but what makes me confused is what really the life expectancy of a house? Does it depends on the tax code? Thanks in advance.

    for tax code the house have 50 year life
    or depriciate at 2% annually

    As much as I know, buildings are depreciated, only land is an excpeption from the fixed assets and is not depreciated.
