    hi everybody,
    I want to know such things related to accounting career and my question are as follows:
    what are the higer position and lower in accouting?
    If I want to be an auditer it is not easy unless I have such experiences and qualified certificata as I think, so could you tell me what are the three level I have to pass in order to get a high position..

    This is what applies my area and most of the area surrounding me.

    Associate's Degree (2yr)- Here you can start in an A/R or A/P department. Possibly work into a staff accountant position or accounting assistant. Based on your performance and the company you can work your way up from here.

    Bachelor's Degree (4yr)- For most auditing positions require at least this level of education with some kind of accounting experience. At this level you can also look into teaching at, say, a tech/vocational school. There are many more opps at this level of education.

    Master's Degree and/or CPA- at this point you can do pretty much anything that is out in the accounting feild.

    If you want to be an auditor, get your behind to school. Auditors verify everything that accounting departments do so you have to have an very good understanding of accounting and of people. Let me tell you from experience, it is a pain in the but to have auditors around for the accounting department that you are verifying. So you must be able to have good oral/interpersonal skills.

    Maybe talk to a school and find out what the options are in your area. You may realize that you like other positions in the accounting feild as well. Good Luck to you...

    I was asking that question because I want to finish the assignment about career planning for my brother.He study the first diploma in bookkeeping,and to say I will be financial manger 5 years from know it is difficult good as I think,coz he should have such experience and more qualification. another questions are: if he couldnt be what are the 3 alternative position?what are the three level he should begin and give 5 job with the same skills and qualification.and What work activities do you enjoy more?,What work activities do you enjoy less?
    Can you help me with additional answer plz??

    Thanx very much momma4_5 ,
    May my words are not clear to understand.I mean with level : what are the begining level of job I could occupied and as you know in the management there are 3 level the lower,the middle and the highest .and in each level the jobs are different related to experience and degree.
