    I run an ad agency in New York and must make purchases on behalf of my client. I have a NYS resale certificate so I do not pay sales tax on the items I order from the vendor. However, do I need to charge and collect sales tax when I resell the items back to my client? These items will not be used for sale to the public. If so, are there any conditions under which I do not have to collect the sales tax?
