    I have a list of 10 companies from 10 different industries. My task is to interpret the %'s listed then to ID which company belongs to which set of %'s.
    What is the best approch?

    If I understand your question,

    the income statement is based on sales eg

    sales 100%
    cost of sales 85%
    gross profit 15%

    The balance sheet percentages are based on total assets or net assets, as you wish.

    Is that what you meant?
