    Hi all. Doing a bookkeeping course. So kinda new. plz can someone tell me what c/d mean? in respect to 'Because it is the period end and Trial Balance is required all accounts ought to show balance c/d' thanks very much

    c/d means carried down. so usually what you will see is balance c/d which means balance to be carried down or forward to the next month. in the next account then you will probably see balance b/d which means balance brought down or brought forward. hope this makes since.
