So, I just heard and realized that accounting has a little part of law in it. My boss at my part time job took accounting and told me that law is an important aspect in accounting. I also looked at the classes I had to take in order to get accepted into the Business Administration major. Also I'm taking an Accounting class right now and there are many principles and laws that I had to carefully read and follow.
So is this all true?
I'm not so good with laws, and never thought accounting would deal with laws at all..I only thought it dealt with balance sheets and journal entries. Anyhow, if I were to not choose Accounting, would Finance be another similar option?
For my career job, I would like to deal with money, and little to no minimal encounters with "law" because I don't think I can do that. If its inevitable, then so be it.
It is indeed true that accounting has a little part of law in it. BUT in real life you'll rarely encounter legal issues unless you are working in the government. Actually, in case legal issues arise, the primary concern is the top management.
I am hoping you'll continue with accounting because it'll give you better career opportunities than finance.
