I am in the start-up process and am trying to find out what can be claimed for start-up cost.
Question 1: Do the charges, such as business card design and printing or gas, have to be on a credit card in my personal/business name or can it be in a non-associated family member name?
Question 2: What part of business negotiation meals can be allocated for business expense? I am confused whether it is 50% or full amount.
Question 3: My company is nation-wide and since I am starting now, November, if I want to stay on calender year tax filing, I will accumulate a lot of travel expense in the initiation of the company. Can I split the deductions and take it to next years expenses or should I file on this year even though profits will not justify the expense in a months time?

=>Either of the two may be do BUT I suggest that let it be on your/business' name to simplfy the recording and documentation process.

=>Every expenses incidental to the business should be borne by the business entity. BUT, you, being the owner of the business may set a standard.

=>Expenses should be recoginized in the accounting period in which they occur.
