    I'm trying to balance a bank account . I balanced to the penny the previous month. I now go in start reconciling for this month and before I changed bank balance and clear anything it say I'm $5500. out of balance. It appears to be on the Withdrawal side . Any suggestions ?

    I assume by "it say" you mean your software. QuickBooks?
    After you did the last reconciliation, it appears you made a $5500 withdrawal entry with a date earlier than the last bank statement date.
