Can anyone give me definite descriptions of the four modules that make up the CPA exam? They are FAR, BEC, AUD, and REG. I want to start sorting all my notes into these categories but don't want them to overlap. Thanks a bunch

I'm currently studying for the CPA Exam, and I suggest you take a Review course (Becker Conviser)before sitting. There is no specific module for the sections. You should visit www.cpa-exam.org, or www.aicpa.org to print out an outline for all sections.

Thank You, I appreciate the info. I am finding that all my textbooks are going to be next to useless for studying. I have some good sources of accounting infor if you are interested. THEY ARE FREE.
Have you tested any of the modules yet? Is Becker Conviser another site?

Happy to share the info that has saved my butt many times. I am sure there are hundreds more sites out there so if you come across something I would appreciate the reciprocation. I will put stars next to the sites I think have the most resourceful info.

Those last 2 have resources that won't quit. You can also start receiving a monthly newsletter from Kaplan with actual questions from the CPA exam. Good Luck.
Out of curiousity, what level of education are you at.
    Thankful People: abril

    Dear macc2101,

I have my BS in Accounting, MS in Accounting Financial Management, and I still would not have considered scheduling any part of the CPA exam without taking a Review course. I checked out the websites you listed, the only one that seemed to be in conjunction with the material tested on the exam is Kaplan, but that information is for individuals who are currently enrolled or who have already taken their CPA Review course. Also, studying finance is not going to be really helpful for the exam. The review courses are setup to reflect the information tested, visit cpanet.com
its a forum where prior testtakers write in about there experience, I received a lot of helpful information regarding the exam from this forum, Good Luck.
