    What is trading account? and what is trade account? and what is the different between two?

    1. An account similar to a traditional bank account, holding cash and securities, and is administered by an investment dealer.

    2. An account held at a financial institution and administered by an investment dealer that the account holder uses to employ a trading strategy rather than a buy-and-hold investment strategy.

    The definitions posted by MA_UK are technically correct definitions of trading account. However, they are more appropriate from an investment standpoint. From an accounting stand point, trade/trading accounts are those such as Accounts Receivable/Payable. This makes sense because the purpose of these accounts is to allow for more fluent trade between businesses and the external environment, be it customers or suppliers and the like.
