   how to perpare entires to record depreciation expense using SUM OF THE YEARS' DIGIT METHOD for two years.

   hello,
   example:
   if you have an assets at cost 20000 and no salvege value with 5 years usable life
   and you use sume of year digit.
   1- you must sum numbers of years 1+2+3+4+5=15
   2- dep. for first year 20000*5/15
   3- dep. fer second year 20000*4/15
   
   and the juornal entry will be:
   Dr.dep. exp.
   Cr. Accu. dep.
