    Quaid, roberts, and Schell have been partners in the QRS partnerrship for many years, because of ill health, Schell has decided to retire from the partnership. Schells capital balance is $347,000 and the profit sharing ration for the partners is 2:5:3, respectively.

    Prepare the retirement of Schell in the folowwing independant sitauations.
    a. with the approval of the partners, Schell sell his interest to Thomas for $425,000.
    b. Schell will sell 40% of his interest to Quaid for $150,000 and the other 60% to Roberrts for $200,000.
    c. The partnership will pay Schell $319,000 for his share of the partnership.
    d. The remaining partners have agreed the partnership will pay Schell $300,000 now and set up an interest bearing notes payable for $295,750. Use the bonus method.
    e. Because the partnership has become very successful, the partnership believes that Schell should be paid for his share of the goodwill and has reached a total buy out figure of $410,000.
