Can you have an adjusting entry to cash?
My original activity was Paid a part-time receptionist for 2 weeks salary including the amount owed on April 30th-$750
Then there is an ajusting entry that says Accrued receptionist salary on May 31is $240 (there was $120 in the salaries payable account to start with). I think maybe I am trying to put both entries together. The original ativity I am thinking- debit salary expence for $750, credit cash for $630 and credit salaries payable for $120. The adjusting entry I just debited salery expence for $120 and credited salaries payable for $120
or should I just debit salary expense for 750 and credit cash for 750, and debit salary expense for 120 and credit salaries payable for the 120? Help I am sooo confused!!!!!!!!!!!
